
Interview with world renowned nutrition, fitness expert and bestselling author, Mark Macdonald
I have the privilege to be partnering with my mentor and coach, Mark Macdonald, and had the chance to speak with him. Mark Macdonld is a world-renowned celebrity nutrition and fitness guru as well as author of New York bestseller “Body Confidence”, “Why kids make you fat” and “How to get your body back quickly”. Mark Macdonald, founder of Venice Nutrition and International Board of Nutrition and Fitness Coaching (IBNFC), has many impressive accomplishments under his belt, including having coached several Olympic Gold Medalists. Mark is also a TV Personality, Entrepreneur, and health expert to famous talk show host like Chelsea Handler, The Chelsea Show, Dr Oz., CNN, HLN “Transformation Tuesday”, Tennis Channel, the 700 Club and Access Hollywood.


Question: Please share with me what made you become a health and fitness expert?
Mark Macdonald: I have always loved health and fitness and it all started when I was an athlete growing up and playing professional soccer, becoming a top fitness model, nutritionist and kinesiologist in USA. People want to win with their health but are often misled by quick fix diets. I have been a health professional for more than 20 years and I knew there was a better way to help people to truly make their food and fitness a way of life by balancing their blood sugar levels. I have created a global health movement to end dieting madness and educating millions of people around the world on how to balance their body with food.
Question: Can you share with me more about your weight management program?
Mark Macdonald: Diets generally are focused on deprivation and restriction, who wants to do that? Can anyone diet like this for life? The sad reality is you can’t. That is why we created this global health movement to end the dieting madness. Think of a baby. Babies eat a balance meal of proteins, fats and carbohydrates in the breast milk or formula every 3 hours. Basically, instead of using food to lose weight like diets do, we are focusing of using food to create balance throughout your body.
This should be how we all are supposed to eat, in the right balance to balance your blood sugar levels and hormones. Question: What do you think are the 2 most important components for someone who wants to be healthy and lose weight successfully?
Mark Macdonald: I would say the 2 most important components are mindset and education. Without the right mindset from the initial start, success cannot be achieved. It is important to set the right pace and cast the vision of what the health experience will be leading to the goal. Next step is education. Empower the person to under their food, fitness and body so that they can thrive thru their lives. This will also create the right foundation to ensure they have a solution for them and their love ones.
